From the President

Well…we didn’t wake up with final election results. For some, or most of you, that can create feelings of anxiety, stress, exhaustion, and more.

But, the sun still rose, the birds are still chirping, and my son still wanted me to read him a Star Wars book this morning. If you’re feeling anxious, know that there are little pieces of joy all around you. You just have to look for them.

Over the past month, the Greater Cincinnati SMPS board has set out to check in on its members. Each of our members either has or will be receiving a call from someone on the board—checking in, seeing how you’re doing personally and professionally, and asking how we can continue to support YOU. It’s a difficult time to connect since we can’t be together safely yet. Instead, we continue to search for ways to lean on and support each other. If you haven’t heard from one of us, you will. If you haven’t had a chance to call us back, we’d love to catch up over a quick chat to hear how you’re doing.

I hope you can cut through all the noise today, and find a little joy.
