From the President

As summer begins to wind down, I’ve enjoyed looking back on what a wonderful season it has been for our chapter. The past few months have given us so many opportunities to learn, connect, and grow together and I’m incredibly grateful to everyone who helped make them such a success.

From engaging programs to insightful speakers, this summer’s events brought fresh perspectives and meaningful conversations to our chapter. Each event reminded me of the value of SMPS and the strength of a network built on shared knowledge, genuine relationships, and a commitment to helping one another succeed.

I’m especially thankful to our speakers, volunteers, sponsors, and chapter leaders who generously shared their time and expertise. Their contributions allowed us to offer programming that was relevant, inspiring, and valuable to professionals at every stage of their careers.

As we look toward the final few months of the year, I’m excited about what lies ahead. We have more opportunities to connect, learn, and celebrate together, and we remain committed to supporting our entire membership. From emerging professionals who are just beginning their careers to seasoned leaders who continue to shape our industry, I’m excited for what’s still to come!

Thank you for being part of the SMPS Cincinnati community and for bringing your energy, ideas, and enthusiasm to our chapter. I look forward to seeing you at an upcoming event – including the Heartland Regional Conference - and closing out the year together on a strong note.

Call for Nominations

Nominations are now open for the 2027 Greater Cincinnati SMPS Board. Serving on the board is a great opportunity to help shape the direction of our chapter, support fellow members and contribute to the continued growth of our AEC community.

The positions include:

  • President-Elect

  • Secretary

  • Treasurer

  • Communications

  • Education

  • Membership

  • Programs

  • Sponsorship

  • Outreach

To nominate yourself or another SMPS member, email Dylan DeZeeuw at [email protected] and include:

  • Nominee name

  • Board position for which he/she is being nominated

  • A statement on why the nominee is a strong candidate for the position

  • Previous involvement and service to SMPS
