Make Good Marketing: Why Analytics Matter

March 04, 2021
9:00 AM - 10:15 AM

Virtual

Noise vs. Power

Every day, people complain about annoying online ads, more tools to block ads are launched, and many companies close their stores and go bankrupt. Yet, every day, the total spend on digital marketing continues to climb. Looking at the growing ad spend, it is clear that many marketing departments excel at creating noise, but fail at understanding and knowing what customers actually expect, want, need and desire. Noise is marketing undirected, analytics is the power to direct your marketing.

We, as marketers, have the power and responsibility not just in front of our customers, but in front of our colleagues to make good marketing, and we can use all the help we can get. In this session, Michael will discuss the following:

  • Building marketing discipline with analytics
  • Google Analytics basics
  • Managing marketing activities as your investment portfolio
  • Knowing and understanding your customer is easier with dta
