Business Development with Intention

March 05, 2020
3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

THP Limited Inc.
100 E. 8th Street, Floor 3
Cincinnati, OH 45202

Feedback tells us that clients want service providers to be partners, so how do our firms become trusted advisors not only during a project, but after it’s done? As business developers, we have the opportunity to look at our clients’ companies and make an impact by understanding both their industries and their businesses. We know that developing a pursuit strategy and a value proposition that positively affects the client’s overall business objectives is key in setting a company apart. This session will discuss the questions we must ask to gain client understanding, establish go-to-market strategies and involve our technical personnel in the process. Interactive components such as working through the pursuit process of a current prospect, network efficiency, and client opportunity planning are also included.

Items covered include:

  • The benefit of industry-driven pursuits and why/how to implement, including go-to-market strategy planning and budgets
  • Technical personnel involvement
  • Business-focused client development
  • Optimizing your team’s network for efficiency and impact
  • Client opportunity planning
