Jim Obert

LIVE: Jamie Humes | Traditions Building & Development Group

As Vice President of Marketing, Jamie is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall marketing strategy for Traditions, for both land development and home building company, Traditions Building Group. Her focus is to maintain and build upon the high-quality standards and brand identity that have defined the Traditions group of companies, while also adding further value by introducing new marketing approaches and initiatives. It is a strategic balancing act that she is extremely proud of, and deeply connected, to the company's history. Jamie has the unique privilege to work with her dad on a day-to-day basis and for the company he began.


WORK: Dan Neyer | President & CEO at Neyer Properties

Dan has been involved with the commercial real estate and construction industry for over thirty-five years, continuing the family heritage that began over 100 years ago in Greater Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. In 1995, Dan formed Neyer Properties, Inc. to pursue his vision of creating value in office, retail, industrial, medical and, most recently, hospitality and multi-family products. Neyer Properties is a fully integrated real estate company specializing in development, construction, financing and management of sustainable land and building developments, with properties in Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana.  Dan is highly respected and knowledgeable in all phases of commercial real estate development having been directly involved in the development of over 3,000 acres of property and over 500 building and development projects, totaling well over $1.5 billion in value.


PLAY: Christy Samad | Senior Vice President, Event Management at 3CDC

Christy Samad joined 3CDC in 2008 as part of the communications team after earning her Bachelors in Marketing & International Business from the University of Cincinnati. Following a four-year stint in her initial role, Samad transitioned to the Events Team, where she remains today. At the start of 2017, she was promoted to Vice President of Event Management, and in 2018, Senior Vice President of Event Management -- a role in which she provides the leadership, direction and focus necessary to ensure 3CDC’s vision for civic spaces is achieved. Currently and throughout her tenure, Samad has managed the programming of 3CDC’s civic spaces which include Fountain Square, Washington Park, Memorial Hall and Ziegler Park. She oversees all aspects of the programming, staffing and financial management that allow each of 3CDC’s civic spaces to thrive. In addition, Samad works closely with the communications and operations teams to make certain the venues are promoted properly, and safely and actively managed.


MODERATOR: Jamie Smith | Publisher / Market President at the Cincinnati Business Courier

Jamie currently is the Publisher/Market President of the Cincinnati Business Courier and has held that position since February 2011.  He was previously Director of Advertising with the Courier since 2003.  Jamie has over 30 years of media experience.  After graduating from the University of Kentucky with a degree in marketing he was an account executive for The Recorder Newspapers of Northern Kentucky and spent 11 years in sales management with The Cincinnati Enquirer.  Jamie serves on the board of directors for the Cincinnati’s Flying Pig Marathon serving on the executive board.  He also sits on the Board of Directors for  DCI (Downtown Cincinnati Inc), the Northern Kentucky Chamber of Commerce, The Better Business Bureau, and The  YMCA and sits on the board of advisors for the RediCincinnati and the Goering Center for Family and Private Business as well as serving on the Goering Center’s management council.

Entrée: Grilled Chicken Caesar Salad, chopped romaine with shaved parmesan, croutons, and Caesar dressing
Vegetarian entrée: Vegetable Wellington with roasted vegetables, ricotta cheese, puff pastry, Chef’s choice of sauce, starch and vegetables
Dessert: Rich Peanut Butter Tart glazed with ganache, toasted peanuts, and raspberry compote
